Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Merq ("Merq," "we," "us," or "our") mobile application and related services (the "App"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to agree to these Terms.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. User Content

You retain ownership of the highlights, posts, comments, and other content you submit to the App ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant Merq a license that is not exclusive, is worldwide, and requires no royalty payments to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and improve the App. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights necessary to share it.

4. Player Ratings & Community Conduct

The Run Together rating system and community features are intended to help players find trustworthy teammates. Ratings and reviews must be honest and based on genuine interactions. Harassment, hate speech, cheating, impersonation, and abuse of the rating system are prohibited and may result in content removal or account suspension.

5. Prohibited Conduct

  • Violating any applicable law or the rights of another party.
  • Posting unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or sexually explicit content.
  • Interfering with or gaining unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
  • Using the App to spam, scam, or impersonate another person.

6. Paid Features

Merq does not currently offer paid digital goods, subscriptions, virtual currency, or creator payouts. If paid features are introduced, their price and any supplemental terms will be presented before purchase.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Merq will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
